Types of Interviews

Interview means a private meeting between people when questions are asked and answered. The person who ask the questions of our interview is called as interviewer.So, an interview is a formal meeting between two people.
There are many types of interviews that an organization can conduct. Every job is different,You must be design and plan for the interview before face the interview. Since employer wants to evaluate your qualifications. You should remember one thing that if you are attending any type of interview the key to success is to be well prepared for every interview.

The fallowing are the different types of interviews:

1) One-to-One interview:

This is one of the most common interview process to evaluate your qualifications for the position and your ability to fit in. The interviewer Observe your dress,appearance,skills and verbal communication skills.This type of interview is also called face to face interview. You can expect more than one interview after completion of this interview.

2) Telephone Interview:

In This type of interview an employer may call you without an appointment. Since, an employer to eliminate candidates based on essential criteria.When you receive a call from employer you must choose private area and tell your family members and friends do not interrupt during interview.Be concentrate on the telephone interview and do not work while talking over phone like eating  or  surfing etc...

3) Panel Interview:

It is designed for multiple people involved for conducting interviews. In this case, you will be interviewed by several people at a time. You would probably have to talk each people individually at some point in this process.In an individual interview you would responses to questions by answering the questions directly but in panel interview instead of just answering each person's question,see if you can make connections and demonstrate your active listening skills.



4) Lunch interview:

Sometimes the interviewer will take you an interview lunch.Here employer wants to know your social activities and manners. Dress as you would for any other professional interview. The main purpose of this type of interview, the employers are wants to test your attitude and social manner and choose perfect candidate.In this case,gives the employer a chance to access your communication and interpersonal skills.
5) Group Interview:

In this type of interview several candidate are present but only one interviewer will ask questions. It is just like group discussion.You might even give a task to do as a team.Group interviews are not effective for most situations and rarely used.

6) Public interviews:

These include political parties radio,television and newspaper.

7) Stress Interviews:

In this type of interview,the interviewee in stress situation in order to observe the interviewees reaction.
